Come to the water. Lay down what is heavy. Let the Mother of the Ocean hold you, cleanse you, and return you to yourself. On Saturday, October 24, from 4 to 7pm, we gather at Will Rogers State Beach in Pacific Palisades as a small circle of souls ready to release and be renewed. Two nights before the full moon, as the sun lowers into the Pacific, we will open sacred space together through prayer, song, and offerings, then walk to the water's edge for a personal ocean blessing. Our intention is to honor the deity Yemaya by honoring yourself. As the Great Mother spirit, she knows how you need to be loved, nurtured, supported, and cared for. She soothes grief, loss, and pain, and she assists with the dreams you are calling in, especially all things connected to the circle of womanhood. Come dressed in white or blue, and bring a small offering for Yemaya, such as white flowers, fruit, or a handwritten prayer, along with a blanket or towel, a warm layer for the evening breeze, and water for yourself. Our exact gathering spot on the sand will be shared with you after you reserve. This ceremony is offered on a sliding scale from $48 to $77, so that everyone who feels the call can answer it. Choose the offering that honors both your heart and your means, and know that every contribution is received with gratitude. Reservations are nonrefundable but may be transferred to another soul with notice. In case of unsafe weather, we will gather on a new date and your place will flow with us. Water remembers, and so will you.
